Please refrain from using powder-type deodorants or powders prior to the mammogram, as they may interfere with the reading of your mammogram.

Compression of the breast is a critical part of the study. If your breasts are sensitive prior to the screening, you may choose to reschedule your mammogram. Please tell the technologist if you experience soreness during the examination, and she will make any appropriate adjustments to ensure your comfort.
