No preparation is needed for the following studies:

Preparation:
Graphic No solid foods for four hours prior to scan.
Graphic Clear, non-carbonated liquids, such as Jell-O, tea, broth, or apple juice can be consumed as desired, up to one hour before the scan.
Graphic Medications can be taken as required, with the exception of no food.
Graphic If you are diabetic and are taking the medication Glucophage® or Glucovance®, you must be off this medication for 48 hours following the spiral CT studies. Your doctor may recommend bloodwork prior to taking the medications again.
