| Preparation:

No
solid foods for four hours prior to scan. |
 |
Clear,
non-carbonated liquids, such as Jell-O, tea, broth,
or apple juice can be consumed as desired, up to
one hour before the scan. |
 |
Medications
can be taken as required, with the exception of
no food. |
 |
If
you are diabetic and are taking the medication
Glucophage® or Glucovance®, you must be
off this medication for 48 hours following the spiral
CT studies. Your doctor may recommend bloodwork
prior to taking the medications again. |
