An ultrasound-guided breast procedure can be used to evaluate the following:

	A simple cyst (fluid-filled sac) which is causing symptoms or interfering with physical examination.
	A structure resembling a cyst, which might have debris inside.
	A nodule which appears solid.

All of these can be diagnosed or treated under ultrasound guidance.
