Ultrasound
imaging has recently undergone significant advancements
and refinements. We use the most up-to-date techniques
available making our facility truly state of
the art.
Ultrasound
uses high-frequency sound waves to penetrate the body.
These sound waves produce echoes that are reflected
back in different ways by different parts of the body.
Recordings of these echoes then form an image of the
area being examined on a screen.
Ultrasound
applications include the examination of internal organs,
the heart and blood vessels, as well as visualization
of an unborn fetus. Ultrasound is frequently used to
clarify uncertain findings on a mammographic breast
exam.
Ultrasound
is often ordered by physicians because it is a non-invasive
and cost-effective imaging procedure.
We
are proud to provide this service to our patients in
a comfortable setting with quality care.
